City by the Bay by kopfwiesieb City by the Bay by kopfwiesieb
San Francisco's skyline ... again. I know, but I didn't want to post another desert-rocks-rod-image. So here it is, this year's photo of the skyline with the Bay Bridge on the left and the Transamerica Pyramid in the background on the right. I think, the colors and their reflections in the water are amazing.

You can see my last year's version here: [link]

Also have a look at the photo my friend =hquer took a view moments before ... with a completely different formation of fog patches: [link]

Feel free to download the full resolution image, 4000 x 2000 pixels.

This is beautiful. I normally don't look at Skyline photos, but I simply could not resist this remarkable piece ♥

So you should be! This shot is something that you could find as a blow up print above a fireplace in a swanky home. For real

The reflections are incredible :D If you don't mind telling, I was wondering if this from the top of Yerba Buena island or did you need access to a building to get even higher?

Thank you. Actually there is a spot on Yerba Buena island, above the tunnel entrance without trees to block the view and some holes in the mesh wire fence for your camera :-). I did not have access to a building. I think this is exactly where you took your "Above the Current of Cars" photo, which is on your Flickr account.
An I have to say, you have a nice collection, keep up the good work!

Ahh, I just took a peek at the satellite images and see what you are talking about. I wonder what the view would look like from a tower on top of the island (if there is one). Maybe we could build it xD

Thanks for taking a look at my photos :D It is nice to hear that I am doing a decent job (still need improvement though). Yeah, that's why I asked, because there are some trees blocking the skyline in mine. I was actually standing in the road (above the tunnel), with my tripod. Every time a car drove by, I would stare at them to make sure they weren't about to run me over. :/

I'll take a look at that other area some time. If anything, just to enjoy the views. Thanks for letting me know :)

Right, the street you mentioned is below that spot. So you will be at least a little higher above the tunnel. :-) I just thought, you already took your photo from there ...

Take care and take some nice pictures. :w00t:

Yeah, it will be good to get a bit more elevated! Thanks again, I hope to make it there again by this summer :)
